We are pleased to announce that Professor Ning Xi, Chair Professor of Robotics and Automation and Professor Max Zuo-jun Shen, Chair Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, have received support from the Government’s Research, Academic, and Industry Sectors One-plus Scheme (RAISE+) for their innovative projects, further demonstrating our department’s leadership in cutting-edge research.
Supported Projects:
“Development and Commercialization of Wearable Robots for Assisting Older Adults Using Artificial Muscle Technology" — Led by Professor Ning Xi, this project focuses on artificial intelligence and robotics to develop wearable assistive devices for seniors.
"Data-driven AI Supply Chain Management Platform" — Led by Professor Max Zuo-jun Shen, this initiative aims to create a robust, intelligent platform to optimize supply chain operations.
About RAISe+ Scheme:
Launched in 2023 with a total allocation of HKD 10 billion, the RAISe+ Scheme aims to support promising research teams from universities funded by the University Grants Committee. Each approved project can receive funding ranging from HKD 10 million to HKD 100 million, emphasizing technological innovation, commercial viability, and societal impact.
