Blockchain Technology for Operations

Professor Jason Choi

Abstract: Blockchain technology, as a disruptive technology, has many fascinating features. It has the power to improve many different types of operations in the real world. In this seminar, from multiple perspectives, we discuss the use of blockchain technology for operations. We first review the field development. Then, we share a few of my related studies, both analytical and empirical, in areas such as retail operations and supply chains. We highlight several critical challenges related to research on blockchain for operations. Finally, we conclude by exploring some probable future research directions.
