IMSE Students won the consecutive year of The 2017 CILTHK Student Day 15th Case Competition Championship

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK) Student Day was held in HSMC (Heng Seng Management College) on 4 March, 2017. The aim of the competition is, through the presentation of a logistics or transport related topic, to demonstrate participated students their understanding, knowledge, argument, analytical skill, logical thinking as well as communication capability.  It took the form of case study competition on topics of logistics and transportation and students had to formulate solutions to tackle the problems under a tight time constraint.  There were 9 participating teams from Hong Kong and Macau tertiary institutions.

The IMSE team consisting of (from left to right) Felicia Sutanto, Kwok Ka Ki Kristie, Lo Ching On (Team Leader), Cheung Horace Esmond and Fernaldy Soegianto won the championship in the consecutive year.  Their discussion topic is “Do you think if the liners cut the capacity, the carriers industry can be in a better financial status?”  The judges were impressed with our students’ research and analysis skill. Next year, the event will be hosted at The University of Hong Kong.
